I am a PGA Associate with a lifelong love of golf. Born on the East Coast, raised in the Midwest, and now based in Northern California, I’m proud to share Ian Arcellana Golf with students across the Bay Area.
After graduating from Chapman University in Southern California, I competed in high-level amateur and mini-tour events throughout California. While competing, I was able to work with a number of accomplished professionals which sparked my interest in coaching. After continuing my development as both a player and coach, my wife and I relocated to Northern California, where I joined the GOLFTEC team and quickly became one of the Bay Area’s leading instructors.

I founded Ian Arcellana Golf in 2024 to help players enjoy the game more and improve with confidence. I’ve been fortunate to learn from top-ranked instructors and continue to seek guidance from the best in the industry to better support my students.
Coaching Philosophy
My goal as a coach is to cut through the noise of “quick fix” tips that are common in the golf world and help you understand your own swing. No two golfers are built the same way, so I create an individualized coaching plan for each student using a systematic approach that ties swing changes directly to improved contact, ball flight, and consistency.
Beyond mechanics, I focus on helping students become confident and self-reliant on the course. Lessons are designed to give you clear priorities and a strong understanding of why you’re working on certain changes, so you can trust your game and take those lessons with you when you play.
I believe great golf is about more than a pretty swing. Developing your full swing, short game, mental approach, and course management together leads to smarter decisions, more enjoyment, and lower scores.
I work with golfers of all ability levels, especially those who are ready to commit to the process and build a long-term coaching relationship. Lasting improvement comes from trust and continued development—not quick fixes—and my goal is to guide you through that journey.
